This is a 20,000-layer chicken farm using
automated battery cages, located in Lusaka, a central province in Zambia.
Background of the project:
As we know, Zambia is an agricultural country known for its rich natural resources and agricultural potential. Joseph, a chicken farmer, discovered through market research that there was a relatively large demand for eggs in the surrounding area, so he wanted to start a chicken farm. After comparing online, he finally chose the high-quality laying hen cages and related poultry equipment provided by us.
In order to provide him with a detailed plan and the most cost-effective equipment quotation, we asked him in detail about his current situation. He has 2 hectares of land but has not yet built a chicken coop. After learning about this situation, we asked him to provide land drawings and design a chicken coop construction plan for the customer. As well as the corresponding required laying farming equipment: automated battery cages, etc.
Project Overview:
This 20,000 layer farm project is undertaken by LIVI poultry farming equipment supplier. The project started in September 2022 and completed in December 2022. The size of chicken house is 70 meters long and 15 meters wide. It has built-in 3 rows and 126 groups of 160-capacity laying hen cages, which can accommodate a total of 20,160 laying hens.
Project construction includes:
* Build a chicken house that can accommodate 20,000 layers;
* Install 126 sets of automated battery cages;
* Install automated feeding system;
* Install automated manure cleaning system;
* Install an automated egg collection system.
Project benefits:
At present, the 20,000-layer chicken farm has been in operation for one year. There were no problems with the laying hen cages or the automated equipment. During this year, it produces approximately 18,000 eggs per month. Joseph said that thanks to the high egg production rate by using automated layer farming equipment, he makes huge profits every month.
